About This Adventure

A 3-day sea kayaking retreat around Amouliani Island. Enjoy the warm September waters, fewer crowds, and the peaceful atmosphere of the Aegean autumn.

Program for KaJak Adventure of Ammoulians
Day 1: Sofia - Ammouliani
Departure at 06.45 from the parking lot in front of st. Vasil Levski. Arrival - about 13 hours on the Athos Peninsula. Lunch and a walk through the ancient town of Ouranopolis. The town was founded centuries before Christ and is located only a kilometer from the Holy Mountain.
About 15 a.m. - briefing and preparation for a kayak transition to the island of Ammouliani. Depending on the conditions, the luggage will be carried to the kayaks or transported by car to the island. During the trek, several breaks are planned on beautiful wild beaches, fascinating islets, diving, photos... and there is an option to send the sun behind the horizon. This is the shortest, but also the most picturesque route. The clean rowing time is no more than 2 hours.
Around 18. 30 p.m. (or when we arrive) we will camp in the western part of Ammouliani. If there are people who want, we can play volleyball on the great beach. In the evening there is an opportunity to visit one of the local taverns.
2nd day
Once we wake up, the coffee and drinks will be ready, followed by breakfast, wake-up and preparation for kayaking. Those who wish will be able to take a whole tour of the island, including stops for holidays on several wonderful beaches, bathing in transparent and turquoise waters, diving and a complete fusion with the surroundings. At noon we will stop in the village of Ammouliani, where there are wonderful taverns and good food. Without an element of tension and haste, we'll go home to the campsite before the sunset. The clean rowing time is about 4 hours. In the evening ... is the evening as we make it, but it is advisable to have tzatziki, uzaki and shrips 🙂.
Day 3.
Waking up, coffee, breakfast and morning swimming (optional), followed by the most annoying part – the collection of the camp and the luggage we will collect in the van. Around 10 -10.30 we will take the kayaks to the mainland, and of course during the kayaking we will not miss another dose of beach entertainment. On the coast you will have about an hour for a walk and lunch at the port.

camping : paid on site, depending on the price - about 25 euros for two nights per person.

Requirements

No previous experience is needed, good physical training is required — expect approximate10-17km rowing per day.
