About This Adventure

An 8-day expedition along the northwestern coast of Cephalonia. Stunning turquoise beaches, Venetian castles, sea caves, and the famous Myrtos Beach — often ranked among the world's most beautiful.

📅 SCHEDULE BY DAYS
📍 Day 1: Sofia – Vasiliki – Sammy
Early departure from Sofia. We catch the ferry from Vasiliki (Lefkada) and dock directly to Kefalonia. We are at the convenient Camping Karavomilos (Samy) in the evening. Anyone who wants to be in a guest house, say by mid-June! Civilization, tavern, cold Mythos and final inspection of the equipment and supplies before we head to the “Wild West”
🚀 Day 2: Start! (Sammy – Agia Jerusalem – Aspros Yalos) kayaking: ~17 km
Early in the morning we make a short land transfer to the start. Instruction, preparation of luggage and kitting. We go into the water and head south.
We will pass through emblematic places, such as the town of Asos, the beach of Myrtos, fortresses, caves ... The magical Aspros Yalos is a small white paradise hidden in the embrace of the rocks, from where we will send the sun...
🚣 Day 3: Through the heart of Myrtos to Atheras Distance: ~16 km Rowing in front of the large-scale plumbs of Myrtos. We cross the bay and enter the sheltered port of Ateras. Dinner at a local tavern and camp under the stars in one of the secluded coves nearby.
🚣 Day 4: The Wild Caves of Pali (Aterras – Petani) Distance: ~17 km Day for the study of gorges and caves. We finish on Petani – the "sister" of Myrtos, for me personally the more beautiful beach). We are looking for a hidden spot for our “invisible” kayak-bik to meet one of the greatest sunsets in Greece.
🚣 Day 5: The way of red clay (Petani – Vrahinari) Distance: ~18 km We pass the epic Platia Amos (accessed only by water!). The coast is getting lower and redder. Overnight on the peaceful beach of Vrahinari, where we will experience civilization.
🚣 Day 6: Crossing “Vardians – Xi” and final in Argostoli Distance: ~18 km.
We leave early while the sea sleeps. We bypass the southern cape and cut to the island of Vardiani. The feeling is amazing – in front of you is the horizon and the small silhouette of a ruined monastery. From Vardiani we row towards Xi beach. The view from the kayaks in front of the orange-red rocks is wonderful for photos. We continue along the shore and enter the great bay to moor triumphantly at the white lighthouse of Argostoli. Accommodation in a campsite and the big celebration!
🍹 Day 7: Deserved relaxation in Argostoli Day for Culture, Caretta-Caretta turtles in the port, market, tour of the island by land and parsing of the experience.
🚗 Day 8: Back to Sofia Ferry from Fiscardo to Vasiliki. Return to Sofia with a full backpack of memories.
The expedition is conducted with single-seater and two-seater sea kayaks.
Degree of difficulty : average. It is advisable to have experience and a good state of physics and spirit. It is possible to show wind and waves. You can rely on experienced and qualified guides who will take all necessary measures for your security.
Group size: minimum 7 people, maximum 10-12 people.

Other expenses:
- optional - carpooling incl. tolls: 100 - 120 €
- ferry fees - 30-45 euros
-⛺ overnights 1, 6 and 7 in camping: about 50 - 55 euros (possibility for first night in a house – additionally about 20 - 40 € for 5-6 people)
• Overnight stays 2, 3, 4, 5 : 0 €.

Requirements

, good fitness, minimum age 16. Physical fitness required — expect approximately 15-20 km of kayaking per day.
